Hype sucks, but it's pervasive. You can hardly walk down Sunset Boulevard without having your eyes pummeled by billboards for albums, would-be movie stars and who knows what else. Hype is infinitely dull and usually increasingly less believable. And much like Throneberry's "Sangria," hype is best if you can ignore it completely.
