Regardless of arguments about sell-out dichotomies, major label contracts and other superficial (not to mention unimportant) aspects of music, this resembles vintage Samiam tunes and is some of their best work ever. It feels like a late August afternoon when the scorching sun sinks in the west and everything seems shorter, leading to the world dozing off for a few months. Filled with regret and longing, these songs are as likely to break your heart as crack the charts.
