"When Squirrels Play Chicken" CD EP

Perfect most certainly warrants Replacements comparisons since Tommy Stinson's new project continues in the vein of drunken Minneapolis punk. However, on this disc, he falls a bit short of putting the Placemats in front of the guests and barely gets around to setting the table. If it wasn't for "Don't Need To Know Where," an uptempo rock 'n' raveup, he probably would have left everyone to eat with their fingers. However, the final cut's melodic, trashy chords redeem this disc. In addition, there's a top secret cover which isn't listed on the back, but rocks harder than virtually everything else on here.
