"The Black Spot" CD (EMI)

Everybody's favorite Canadian punk rockers are back with a new album, and guess what? It pretty much goes off. From the opening scream to the three part "Nutwrencher Suite," "The Black Spot" is classic hardcore with DOA's trademark guitar riffs sounding better than ever. But wait, there's more! Inspired creativity to boot! "Marijuana Motherfucker" finds the boys praisin' pot and cursin' cops and "Road Kill" is a brilliantly chaotic redneck romp through Hicksville, USA. Old punkers never die, they just...well shit, I guess a lot of 'em do die. O.K., DOA, hey, they're not dead! (TOM)
